Generally with VDC OFF, the throttle cut out will stop but the brakes will still try to grab a spinning wheel (ABLS). ABLS cannot be turned off. I've had my VDC OFF and really spinning the tires and suddenly it will cut throttle. The dealer determined that it was the cvt transmission, $5400.00. We had the recall done for the Cvt earlier this year. The dealer only guaranteed the rebuilt transmission for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
